Requirements:
  • Education
    • Assistant Teachers require the minimum state courses of: Introduction to the Child Care Profession, Skills and Strategies of the Early Childhood Teacher and Infant/Toddler Development
    • Lead Teachers require a Level 11 or higher on The Registry (Child Development Associate, Associates Degree in Early Childhood or above)
  • Experience
    • No experience required, but preferably 1 year of experience in the field for Lead Teachers 
  • Skills
    • As an Early Care and Education Teacher, you should believe that all children are important and need a safe, nurturing and diverse environment when in your care. You should be able to adhere to state licensing regulations and be willing to learn and implement the NAC guidelines for child care. As a member of our agency, you should be able to demonstrate the qualities of a team-player by being accountable, responsible and reliable, all with a positive outlook towards your job.
 
Responsibilities:
  • As an Early Care and Education Teacher, you will plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate, developmentally appropriate and culturally inclusive early childhood experiences for young children. You will put your creativity, enthusiasm and energy into providing excellence for children and families. You will also develop positive and interactive relationships with parents/guardians, your
    co-workers and supervisors through your strong written and verbal communication skills.
